Corporate Challenge Action Steps 2025

The Iowa Stops Hunger Corporate Challenge is part of a statewide initiative created by BPC, in partnership with presenting sponsor Hy-Vee, to drive awareness and action around hunger and food insecurity in Iowa. As part of that effort, organizations committed themselves to taking at least one action to help stop hunger, while educating their workforce and the community about this critical issue and inspiring others to take action to end hunger in Iowa. Every action, no matter how large or how small, is needed in order to continue sustained awareness and action toward ending hunger. We hope these organizations’ actions help inspire you to take an action to help end hunger in the community.

WesleyLife Meals on Wheels

Growing Today, Feeding Tomorrow

In 2025, WesleyLife Meals on Wheels significantly expanded its impact on food insecurity by harvesting nearly 6,000 pounds of fresh greens from our onsite Hydroponic Farm, which were incorporated into almost 50,000 meals. An additional 1,225 pounds were provided to the Food Bank of Iowa for distribution to member pantries. Our dedicated meal team introduced new medically tailored meals and formed strategic partnerships to better reach individuals in need. Our impact will reach thousands in Central Iowa this year with more than 400,000 meals. These efforts were powered by more than 6,000 volunteer hours, reflecting the strength of our community commitment.
